Stunning!

I was curious as to the origin of the name foxglove, this is what I found...

The earliest known name for this plant is the Anglo-Saxon “foxes glofa” (the glove of the fox). It derives its name from the flowers which resemble the fingers of a glove and possibly from a northern legend that bad fairies gave the blossoms to the fox to put on his toes, so that he might soften his tread while he hunted for prey.

Very Nice.

And not to criticize, but I would have taken another with the the aperture stepped down from f5.6, with a slower shutter speed of 1/100 sec to get a tad more depth of field. The EV compensation for back lighting was good though, woulda left that alone :-)

One thing I still can't 'get' with these digital SLRs is the; 'focal length: 135mm. In 35mm format = 202mm', thing. In this case its a 67mm difference and that I can't relate to.

With 35mm film I know where the 'focal plane' is. There's a line on the top of my Nikon (for macro photography). And I know a 50mm lens equals normal eyesight, a 100mm lens is x2, a 150mm is x3, and a 350mm lens is x7 (like 7x'XX' binoculars). And for Portraits I'd use a 80-100mm lens.

So I'm afraid if someone gave me a Digital SLR I'd have to use it for a doorstop. My brain is too old for this new stuff.

Annnnnyway, very nice picture :-)
