Perhaps because (or for the same reason) we have YET to have a hot day in Georgia. We had a C O L D winter by our standards, a late Spring, and a cool one so far.

perhaps all related.

We had our first true Thunderstorm of the Spring about 0530 today. Weird for us as well. Usually we get covered up with Spring-time boomers starting in late March. Nada this year. We had overnight lows in the mid 40s earlier this week. THAT is odd for us.

Blueflag, you better not jinx us!

I admit the cold winter, but I will be darn if we get a dry hot summer

Yeah that sounds about right for us, too... My daughters have a friend who lives in Texas, and I know that it even snowed a few times where they live!

We had a few days where it dipped down to freezing just recently. I remember remarking to my daughter that I was worried because the buds on the trees had just finally started growing.

You’re probably right that it is related... though the cause I don’t know. We’re predicted to get rain today and tomorrow, but no dark cloud or lightning bolt on the forecast pictures! Just rain... Not that I’m complaining! As I said we need it... And especially, the farmers up here need it, too...
