What’s the best way to find a good breeder?

Even if you can't afford, or abide the 2-3 year wait list for one of their dogs, their books will tell you how to locate a good breeder.

I checked out the Monks of New Skeet. The get $3000.00 and have a waiting list a mile long. Frankly I cannot see the benefit of paying that much since there is no extraordinary guarantee and while the pictures are all very nice it seems they get all that money simply because they can.

I didn't find out about the Monks of New Skete till after I adopted my most perfect 8 year old Shepherd. I did buy their books which are beautiful and just a pleasure to read. One can just feel the love they have for these dogs.
