You think that is bad, I heard they are trying to replace black politicians with black whites.

The “racism/discrimination” excuse is a very comfortable crutch.
Old and tired, but useful for any situation of inadequacy, and very comfortable indeed.

Sure, yeah, like Mayor Marian Barry (Mayor for Life) once said "Even gravity keeps the black man down".
What a whine!
Guess American born black people need to avoid learning Spanish lest they be counted as Dominicans!

How can they get players of a certain race to accept less money? They don’t get agents who try to negotiate the best deal for their clients?
To: nickcarraway
Former Twin Torii has been replaced with Orlando Hudson, who is talking the same race-card nonsense.

For quite some time, Major League Baseball has disenfranchised African-American kids. And then they're disenfranchised a few years later when attempting to vote -- whitey won't let them. The low % of blacks in baseball has nothing to do with the fact that the vast majorty of black kids far prefer basketball and football to baseball. It's all about keeping the black man down, just as it's always been. Isn't that right Luke?

I don’t think it’s intentional, but there are way fewer blacks in MLB than say in the 70’s. Maybe football and basketball are just more appealing to black teenagers. I remember it was a big deal when the Pirates had an “all black” team on the field.

Maybe football and basketball are just more appealing to black teenagers No "maybes" about it -- that's precisely what it is. And there's nothing MLB can do about it. No league or entity can force kids to change their preferences. It's a cultural thing.

The Dominicans often accept being shipped to minor league farm systems where they have to sleep dormitory-style, 100 to a room. In Mexico, minor league players have to play games all day and all night. Sometimes a game doesn't start till midnight. And every Major League Baseball team has people on the ground scouting for talent.
Playing so much baseball over a relatively short period of time is probably how they become so much better than a college baseball player, regardless of his melanin content.
And, for the record, the blacks from the Dominican Republic come out of a far harsher tradition of slavery than any particular American black.

So you're trying to tell me that the NHL isn't a racist organization with all those whities in there?

The spectators too. I worked as a vendor at Riverfront stadium in the early 90’s. I was talking to another vendor (who was black) and he told me that blacks don’t watch baseball nearly as much as whites do. As soon as Bengals season started, sure enough, I noticed he was right. The stadium was filled with WAY more black fans.

Luke Says Baseball Replaces Blacks With Dominicans I'm sooooo confuuuuuused....
Is MLB replacing "blacks" with Dominican "white" players?
Are ony Americans to be called "blacks" while people from other countries are referred to by their country?
What is really in the heart and mind of this writer to use words the way he does?

The spectators too. Yep. Now they're even shipping in spectators from the Dominican Republic. Somebody needs to run and tell Al Sharpton.

A lot of older blacks (mostly 50 and older) watch baseball. But yep, the younger generation has little to no inclination to either watch or play America’s pastime.

So you're trying to tell me that the NHL isn't a racist organization with all those whities in there? But they're mostly Canadian, so they aren't authentic whites.
