The spectators too. I worked as a vendor at Riverfront stadium in the early 90’s. I was talking to another vendor (who was black) and he told me that blacks don’t watch baseball nearly as much as whites do. As soon as Bengals season started, sure enough, I noticed he was right. The stadium was filled with WAY more black fans.

A lot of older blacks (mostly 50 and older) watch baseball. But yep, the younger generation has little to no inclination to either watch or play America’s pastime.
