To those of you who go into every Sarah Palin thread with your anti-Palin talking points and repeating everything you hear on ABC, NBC or CBS.
I have a question for you personally. This is a personal question.
What are you doing to further our cause in a time of grave national and international crisis ?
Have you traveled to dozens of states in the last few months ? (Sarah Palin has)
also,
How is the view from the peanut gallery ?
and
How is the breakfast with your Democratic friends down at the local Holiday Inn ?
Please get a life. You are doing nothing to further our cause. Do some soul searching, it must seem like a worthless existance spending your time on the net attacking one person with such vigor and such venom. I hope for a big purge and I hope it is soon.
Well.
If being a nice guy, playing patty cake and staying positive won you elections..
John McCain would have won..
Michael Dukakis may have won in 1988.
Barry Goldwater may have won in 1964..But no. Lyndon Johnson was a miserable cut throat. but CUT THROATS WIN.
sometimes you have to get down-right nasty. I hope Sarah Palin knows this and I think she does.
90% of us do
I think we should get behind Charlie Crist for president. He would obviously be more conservative and a better spokesperson for conservative values. Add Mitt Romney as VP and we can finally be done with the so called “conservatives” like Palin.
I’m fairly new here, and I posted a pro Sarah comment on a thread and immediately (within seconds) “Polybius” and “jveritas” were in my face showing me how stupid I and other Sarah supporters are. Welcome to Free Republic.
I do not believe there is a human being on this earth that exists outside of AZ... that turned on Sarah Palin nationally over her position over the local AZ primary. One of many local primaries.
They have other motives. Most of the arguments I see are “I don’t think Sarah Palin is electable because of my friends make fun of her” arguments. And they make me sick.
do you think that if someone simply does not believe Sarah Palin should be the next President of the United States, they are attacking her? is that an attack, in your opinion?
You signed up 11/8/2002 just to post that?
You don’t impress me.
Palin is not a cheerleader, that is insulting.
“Palin is an AWESOME conservative cheerleader but that’s the extent of it. Just because one doesn’t think of her as being qualified to be a presidential nominee, doesn’t make the person anti-Palin. I may not think she’ll be a good president but I will defend her and any attacks against her or her family coming from the left so I advise you to aim towards the proper target: THE LEFT and stop behaving irrationally over this.”
I agree, maybe we should consider a real conservative like Lindsey Graham. Then we won’t have to listen to the mainstream media attack our candidate.
Hey. Nice to see you. You are one of the ones.
I remember you saying you didn’t think Sarah Palin was electable because someone in your family thought she was a “big phony”
they obviously believe the propaganda. and you let it sway you.
Most of these will be the Paulistas who hate the idea of a rejuvenated GOP because it spells trouble for Ron Paul of ever getting more than 2 or 3 % of any Primary vote. But you will also find scorched Earth Libertarians who see a RINO around every tree, and at least one die hard Hunter supporter that I know of.

Patience is a virtue.
:)
Sarah Palins experience stacks up quite well historically, if anyone takes the time to compare it to previous Presidents.
Lincoln, Kennedy and Truman (aside from two months as FDRs VP) also had no executive experience, elective or appointive, when they became President.
Woodrow Wilsons only executive experience was two years as Governor of New Jersey, after which he became President.
Calvin Coolidge, in addition to being Harding VP for two years, was governor of Massachusetts for two years and mayor of a small town of 3000 (Northampton)for two years. (sound familiar?) In Reagans opinion, as well as Bob Novaks, Coolidge was the best President of the 20th Century (until the Gipper, of course).
Other Presidents,(Madison, John Quincy Adams, Buchanan Hoover) only had executive experience as appointed heads of cabinet agencies.
Ford had no real executive experience; He was VP under Nixon for less than a year.
That is a list of 10 Presidents, including some pretty good ones who had less than, or equivalent to, Sarah Palins executive experience. And I didnt even count the large number of Presidents (10) whose executive experience consisted solely of being generals in the army. (Only three of the ten were Commanders in Chief, which would at least somewhat approximate the Presidency).
If Palin is the candidate, she has my vote.
You are being snarky and I was being serious.
Strange. Your comment to me has nothing to do with my comment to you. I never suggested any of those things.
Palin has been tough (not playing some nice guy role), she certainly does NOT play patty cake, and there’s nothing wrong with speaking the truth about the bad situation we’re in and yet sending a positive message to dull the pain.
I am not anti-Palin, although the people she has backed of late give me cause for concern.
But I do have a question, because you keep repeating the phrase '...doing nothing to further our cause"
For clarity's sake 'our' who, and what cause would that be?
I want the best possible Conservative candidates in 2010, 2012, and afterwards, and if Sarah jumps the shark backing amnesty or cap and trade or somesuch, FRiend, she will not be in the running.
Then you should understand why getting control over the tone and rules of the debate is most important if Palin wants to win. Her first goal would be the Republican primary.
Anti Palin republicans have to be marginalized.
This may sound Alinsky. but it works.
ditto on Steele
what do I do?
shucks...gave probably mid 5 figures cumulatively to GOP last 5 cycles including off years
marched for Bush over and over here to counter moonbats and have the thread on FR
protested in heat summer here over Sundquist and his GOP attempt to force state income tax
went to all the anti0-amnesty rallies and donated
have been active in middle Tn races for GOP that should remain unnamed here....Ed Bryant lost...I'll give up that much
Paid 700 to see Sarah at Opryland
buy just about every book out there to support our people
raise my kids to be logical and make righteous decisions based on empirical observation and humanity and to be diligent
come from a father who was southern GOP since Ike..kind of rare..thought he also supported JO, Stennis, Sonny etc
Give to anti-abortion, veterans families groups both here and IDF
member all gun groups
support this joint probably as much as anyone but the most saintly and like all the lazy buttheads making this fundraiser crawl OUGHT TO!
is that enough for me to criticize Sarah if I disagree with her even if I do think she usually walks on water?
one word of advice:
DO NOT FALL FOR HARPIE LOGIC....the clique that brooks no dissent...it's was a disaster here last time around
