I haven’t studied any of this. But weren’t the Al Queda types fighting the Russians in Afghanistan? Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they all have the same motives toward us.

Only in the context of my enemies enemy is my friend. Russia was a hotbed of secular Islam in the early 20th century, Lenin supressed them, Stalin shut them down entirely. Today what’s left are the radicals

I don’t know.
There was a Simpson’s episode were the Russians revealed they were still the Soviet Union. It rings true.
I could see them aiding terrorist against us. They are friendly with Iran.
At the same time they are suppressing their own Muslim separatists.
