Wish he was being drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
Stand up guy!
What an uplifting story. I hope he stays true to his values during his NFL career.
Whoever takes Suh is going to get a talented guy with Character. A zero risk draft choice.
Suh is from Portland, which is where I live. Nice to see this from him. His parents, as you can imagine, are very strong influences in his life, and going to Nebraska while growing up in Lib Land is a statement in itself.
I don’t know. Don’t really care, either.
Who cares...
Suhs mother, Bernadette (née Lennon), was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica and is a graduate of Southern Oregon University, while his father, Michael, hails from Cameroon and played semi-pro soccer in Germany for a few years while working as a machinist. They met and were married in Portland, Oregon in 1982 after he was accepted to a trade school in the area. In the Ngema tribe in Cameroon, Ndamukong means “House of Spears.”
Suh has three sisters and is the second oldest of the four siblings. His older sister, Odette Lennon Ngum Suh, played soccer collegiately at Mississippi State University and is currently a midfielder on the Cameroon women’s national football team.
******
In the Ngemba tribe in the West African nation of Cameroon, Ndamukong Suhs first name means house of spears.
his father, Michael, a mechanical contractor, is from Cameroon. His mother, Bernadette, a teacher, is from Jamaica.
Suh is named after his paternal great-grandfather, Ndamukong Suh (pronounced En-dom-ah-ken Soo), who was 7 feet 3 inches tall and fought in World War II. His father owns a house in Mankon, Cameroon, where he has more than 50 relatives.
He cant wait to go there, his father said in a telephone interview. And I cant wait to take him there, just to see it and to meet the family members.
Suhs three sisters have been to Cameroon, but he has never been able to make the trip because of school and football commitments. He considered visiting in the spring, but said he did not want to be there for only a month.
Ive just got to wait my turn for now, Suh said.
We wish him the best.
So they are probably Christians?
Go Big Red !!!
“Wish he was being drafted by the Cleveland Browns”
Yeah, me too!
It looks like he was given the seal of approval for his generosity.
“He also shoulda been on the conference championship team, if you know what I mean. “
What, he should have been on the Longhorns? What’s your beef, they won the game fair and square.
“With the second pick of the NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Ndamakong Suh, Defensive Tackle from the University of Nebraska.”
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
No way did texas university longhorns win fair. We all know about the CLOCK, the coach begging for an extra second, and the officials giving it to him. Suh ravaged texas.
I believe they are Druids. Read it in Sports Illustrated or somewhere.
