I’ve had at least one tiger shark come up to our boat that was bigger than that, and several that would be only a little smaller. In each case they came up our berley slick while targeting tuna out at the shelf, each time we thought it prudent to abandon the trail and move on. Tigers have been known to poke their heads over the transom pursuing your catch, or the bait, if you reel it in on them. The biggest one we saw could have easily done that to my 25 footer.
