LARGO — It's hard to overcome the image of severed dog heads in a restaurant Dumpster.
But the owner of a local medical company is trying.
Ron Buck, president of MedRx, says one of his workers improperly dumped the heads in a trash bin at Tucson's Southwest Grill after a veterinary training seminar.
"I think it's about the dumbest thing I've ever had an employee do," Buck said.
Buck says his company, which manufactures veterinary and human hearing health care products, holds a few educational seminars for veterinarians each year and uses dog heads for training purposes.

The dumbest thing? Nah, the dumbest thing was PETA illegally dumping the bodies of all the animals they killed after promising the donors that they would find them homes.

Well this seems like a teachable moment. I think we all could learn a little about how to properly dispose of dogs’ heads.
Waste of good meat, too.
They should be placed into biohazard bags and discarded like any other medical waste (sterilized, then usually incinerated). There are companies that specialize in medical waste disposal.

I don’t think I want to know but I’m guessing its not in the dumpster used by a restuarant.
My tagline is from survivorman and has multiple applications. Kinda like a multi-tool.
I guess what bothers me about this is where do they get the heads? Do they cut them off of family pets the vets put to sleep? Is there some company that picks the dogs up after the Human Society or PETA kills them and lops the heads off. In which case there seems to be an incentive to kill animals.
