a few general thoughts...
The competition is definitely getting tighter now.
I was a fan of Siobahn in the beginning but agree with others who have said that she is beginning to wear on me now.
Alex has a distinct sound but right now I think he may be one of the weakest links. I can see him in a bar, but wouldn’t buy his record.
Tim is a cutie but not in the same league as the others.
Katie was good and I agreed with Simon, I hear a slight country twinge in her voice. I could see that being her thing.
Crystal was not as good in my opinion as the judges thought. No question she knows who she is, she is a genuine artist. I like her, just don’t love her.
Casey, whatever. Who cares. I like looking at him. LOL
Aaron *yawn*. Again, cute kid, very likable but he REALLY needs to act his age or close to it.
Big Mike was decent. I didn’t like it as much as the judges. I think he comes off as a nice guy...but with a huge ego. Probably going to be in the top 3 though.
Lee...what can I say. I love him. He’s my favorite. Cute, unassuming, talented, graveling soulful voice that I really find appealing. He’s beginning to look more comfortable and confident.

I like Tim just because he irks the judges with his staying power....and he's cute - no doubt about it!
I don't like Mike - he's got a decent voice, but I'd never be a fan
Bowersox was good last night but she's not my cup of tea for a singer....too much like Joplin - ick
Katie is amazing to me for her confidence at such a young age

I thought so too. For all the "this is the worst season ever!" talk, this is a fairly solid group of singers.
