Hi Jonny!
Forgive my manners. I just slipped in and out. Life without a laptop, you know. ;^)
Someday....
One of the funniest SNL skits ever.
Billy Idol: Don't provoke me old man.
Sinatra: You don't scare me, I got chunks of guys like you in my stool.
Billy: Alright, I'll rip your bloody head off.
Sinatra: Steve, go kick his ass.
You really think they tell them ‘aforehand they’re gonna lose?

I love Connick’s music...reminds me of the good ol’ days of the Rat Pack.
Ed
I remember when I first them on America’s Next Band, (or something to that effect) and I was struck by how good they are.
The mando player is great...I play banjo and I love that mountain music.
There was another great band on that same series, something like “and the old 68” they were GREAT, reminded me of Bill Monroe or Flatt & Scruggs.

Gosh darn it...I really liked her.
Darnit...why not Mike or Aaron??
Ed
Me, too. She was the most interesting. Great voice. I think she got over handled in recent weeks. When I was a kid playing golf with my dad, I pulled a three wood out, waded into a fairway trap and whacked the ball a good distance straight down the fairway. My dad said, you shouldn’t use a 3 wood there...the lip’s too steep, you got woods on the left blah blah blah. I was doing my own thing and it worked even though it wasn’t supposed to. But after that comment I no longer had confidence in my own way and the conventional approach never worked as well. I think that’s what happened to her - she listened to the Idol people and lost touch with herself in her performances. That was my impression over the last several weeks.
Yeah...y’know, that makes a lot of sense.
See ya’,
Ed
Wow, Jonny! Prescient much?
YEOWSERS!!! that’s it. *shudder*
Me too...I grew up listening to Sinatra (my dad was a fan) so Connick’s music reminds me of him. If you ever get a chance to see Connick live, I highly recommend it.
Sometimes ;)
The Friends announced this morning that Shakira is heading out to Arizona to meet with the mayor in protest of the new law. She also wants an appointment with Gov. Brewer. So Brian says—the mayor had better use a lot of cologne—or something like that. I’m confused...does Shakira smell?
I some research (okay, I searched Google and Dlisted) for "Shakira smells" "Shakira body odor" "Shakira deodorant" and found nothing.
I'm guessing Brian was trying to make a joke and it feel flat.
I am so sick of celebrities thinking they know better then the rest of society on everything. Why is her opinion of this situation any more valid then anyone elses??
I think the “use alot of cologne” comment might mean so that he could “seem attractive to her” ....since she’s pretty hot etc...
Mike should be next

Bye, bye, chevron. If you must scream, scream well. FV
I think Shania Twain was too ashamed to come back last night. They wrecked her songs.
