I googled it and found it but 16.1 does not say anything about hell

The Apostle’s Creed states that “he was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead.”
Pretty much self explanitory to me.
I appreciate your response. In all of my 40-something years as a Christian I have never heard that, and my teachings have come from The Bible. I have read the Creed before, but my translation does not contain the sentence about descending into Hell.
Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption

CONCLUSION
The truth of the matter concerning the whereabouts of Christ’s soul during the three days and three nights before the resurrection is not hard to understand if one believes the actual words of the scriptures. Christ’s soul went down into the pit in the ‘heart of the earth.” He arrived in the flames of hell where he suffered the punishment that all men deserve, deposited our sins, and preached the final sentence of eternal damnation. With that complete, he took out the key, and unlocked the gates, crossed the great gulf, and went into paradise or Abraham’s bosom. There he preached the gospel to the souls there and identified himself as their Redeemer. At the end of his seventy-two hours of death those souls resurrected with him and then finally were taken to heaven.
