"Sometimes ya gotta put politics aside." And other times you have to keep them central. I grew up liking Springsteen, until one day, back in the 90's I realized that he and the left were at war with me and my way of life. Literally at war; they would much prefer a world in which people like me (and presumably you) didn't exist. I can't support somebody like that.

I decided long ago that if I took every actor, director, musician or writer’s politics into consideration when spending my disposable income I would drive myself crazy.
If somebody makes something I want to see, hear or read I’m going to pay what’s required. I have no desire to view all things through the prism of politics.

"I have no desire to view all things through the prism of politics." I have no desire to view all things that way either; to the contrary it repulses me. That's why I avoid artists and entertainers who are going to confront me with their agendas, and try to get in my face with their holier-than-thou pronouncements.

I would not let someone else pay for my ticket to see/hear him scream.

Ann Kelly had the "nicest ass" at her gym, Bruce Springsteen said, according to a suit.
Judging by the pic that caption was attached to,
That's a pretty seriously deficient "gym."

LOL!
Mind you, she may look ordinary from the front, but then have the ‘goods’ at the back.

Actually, if you must know, I prefer Placido, but Luciano and Jose will do.
Springsteen doesn’t sing. He grunts.

Rock and roll’s been going downhill ever since Buddy Holly died.

Well that's something we can disagree on. I think the pinnacle of rock was the late 60’s. There have been a lot of bright spots since then though.

I can’t resist — I’ll play. How about Agustin Lara or Benito de Jesus?
