Yeah — the West Virginia player hurt his knee.

He ran into a Duke knee. The WVU guy was taken to the dressing room in a cart. My guess is a torn cartilage or ligament.

that was my guess...but only a guess

Collided with a Duke player while going for a rebound, appears to have twisted his knee.
Duke wins, btw, no surprise given the way most of the game went, WVU wasn’t really in it for the entier second half.
Duke vs. Butler for the championship.

Duke obviously the stronger team tonight....didnt miss the open shots, tight defense...
well coached, well trained.

Go Butler!!
Are most of Duke’s basketball players still sociology majors like past championship Duke teams?

He was going for a layup; not a rebound.

From this incident, you can really tell Huggins LOVES his players.

I think you're asking about the play at the ten minutes mark of the 2nd half. CBS didnt show a replay, but looked to me like West Virginia's Butler was out of control driving toward basket in paint, and charged into Duke Center, Zoubek. And, Butler was called for the charge. Tough way to get hurt, but refs had the right call. He charged.

His team got their asses handed to them....

The lead was 15 points with six and a half minutes left when Butler was injured. Duke has not given up leads this year.
If he had stayed in, the final score would not have been a 21 point differential, but the end result would have been the same.
My best wishes to him, and I hope he has a quick recovery and a great career.

Do you mean only one WV player HAS a knee and that distinguishes him?

I still think Huggins looks like a Soviet bureaucrat from a 1960's movie or Francis from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
