And we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, and we are to become like Christ. Christ did many good works. we are to grow in Christ likeness. , Romans 8:29 tells us...

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son.” God's purpose for us is that we be CONFORMED INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST. The only way this can happen is if we SUFFER with Jesus.

Romans 8:17states: “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

36.For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

37.Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

38.Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
