ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A SeaWorld Orlando trainer attacked by a killer whale died of drowning and blunt-force trauma to her head, neck and torso, an autopsy released Wednesday showed.
The report by the Medical Examiner's Office ruled Dawn Brancheau's official cause of death as drowning and traumatic injuries. Her death was ruled an accident, and toxicology tests found no drugs in her system.

In other news Rachel Corrie died from being run over by a bulldozer.

This was a very sad story.
But did they really need an official autopsy?

A killer whale in the act of killing.
Shocker.

Those drug-testing nanny staters, always on the lookout, they are! I guess if they had found drugs in her system, this would have changed something on the autopsy report?

Fox just had a caption stating that her arm had been torn off. But no mention of that here?

Since it wasn’t a natural death, the autopsy was probably required by law. I’m sure the findings didn’t surprise anyone.

After the autopsy the DA declined to press ahead with charges against the whale.
