‘President Obama, when he says something, keeps his word,’ Mr Sarkozy said. ‘His word is his bond. And that is so important.’

This is my idea of a dynamic duo.

But Obama and Sarkozy also make for a cute couple.

Just a day earlier in New York, Mr Sarkozy spoke bluntly about the U.S. role in foreign affairs, saying the world needed an America that listens.

“You never listen. I don’t need you to fix things, or hand out wheat or supplies or all that money around the world, or bring liberty. I just want you to listen. I just want to be heard. And after that I’m jumping in the sack with the Russians”.

Oh, a funny picture of Barack Obama having a good time with Sarkozy. NOW I feel so much better about him! This changes everything! Whoever in his administration thought this one up really came up with a winner! /sarc

Er, Mr. Sarkozy, you had better rethink that! He certainly lies to the American people.

Except when it comes to: Tougher rules against revolving door for lobbyists and former officials, Allow five days of public comment before signing bills, Create a $3,000 tax credit for companies that add jobs, End income tax for seniors making less than $50,000, Recognize the Armenian genocide, Allow penalty-free hardship withdrawals from retirement accounts in 2008 and 2009, Create an Advanced Manufacturing Fund to invest in peer-reviewed manufacturing processes, Include environmental and labor standards in trade agreements, Require publicly traded financial partnerships to pay the corporate income tax, Freeze the 2009 estate tax law, Implement "Women Owned Business" contracting program, Increase minority access to capital, Oppose agreements like CAFTA (the Central American Free Trade Agreement) unless it has environmental and labor protections, Create an international tax haven watch list, End no-bid contracts above $25,000, Establish a small business initiative for rural America, Double funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, a program that encourages manufacturing efficiency, Provide option for a pre-filled-out tax form, Investigate potential conflict of interest between credit ratings agencies and financial institutions, Create more public-private business incubators for poor communities, Require economic justification for tax cuts, Make permanent the Research & Development tax credit, Close loopholes in the corporate tax deductibility of CEO pay, Create a retirement savings tax credit for low incomes, and to Create a mortgage interest tax credit for non-itemizers.

Except for that, the man keeps his promises.
