There are some surprises in there, with "Monster Trucks" being the biggest.

I guess the stereotype of WNBA fans being all lesbian are true.

Very interesting. LPGA is solidly red, but the WNBA is a far blue as it gets. Also, Linda McMahon’s WWE is low-turnout (no surprise there) blue. Relieved to see most of the mindless sports in blue/don’t vote category.

It is because men are probably the largest consumers of sports, and liberal men, as Gary Aldrich put it in his book “Unlimited Access” are largely pear shaped men who are more attracted to ice skating events and “American Idol”.

Monster Truck rating is Odd - wouldn’t figure it to fall like that....(more kids, likely non-voters?)lol
Need to get the NASCAR Red Circle bigger on this graph!

Wonder if the networks are paying attention. Is there some real reason Olbermann is doing NFL Football?

I wonder where the UFC is at on this scale?

Men are the majority of sports fans, and the majority of white men are Republican. The NBA has a large “urban” audience so it polls differently.

(Sigh) If only more on the right would discover that F-1 is far superior to, and more exciting than NASCAR...

MLS doesn't surprise me. Lots of WWE fans are children, but they can't vote.

Some of these results are interesting and a few surprising. The fact that the more popular professional team sports (except the NBA) attract more GOP followers is a bit unexpected, considering that the owners of professional sports teams and the media who promote these enterprises are overwhelmingly 'Rat and are not infrequently found among the largest contributors to 'Rat candidates and organizations. Here the reality is at odds with the meme promoted by the 'Rats of wealthy GOP capitalists taking advantage of the poor little (Democrat) "consumer."

Also surprising is that the college football followers skew strongly GOP, when one might expect that decades of leftist brainwashing of college grads would make alumni of the schools - who would be expected to be the biggest fans - predominantly 'Rat. There, as well, the vast majority of those who profit financially are Dems.

Sports Viewers Largely Republican

Yet the biggest sports network (ESPN) is populated with mostly Obamaphiles, some of them vocally so.

There are some surprises

Like viewers of the Olympics being to the right (albeit only slightly) of NFL viewers, for instance.

That’s because male liberals tend to wear skirts and shun sports.
