The federal government is investigating dozens of death threats to IRS employees that have been posted online since the House passed the health care bill, FoxNews.com has learned.
The health care law has sparked protests on radical anti-tax and anti-government Web sites and within their private, password-protected e-mail lists and message boards. Some writers have labeled March 21 -- the day the House passed the bill "Bloody Sunday," and they see it as a call to violent action against IRS workers.
In the days following the House vote, animosity toward the IRS intensified, and many heated online protests included specific discussions about the best way to go about killing tax agents.
Hundreds of comments were posted in response to an incendiary story on infowars.com, the radical far-right Web site owned by radio host Alex Jones. The story, entitled, "The Cost Of Defying Obamacare: $2,250 a Month And IRS Goons Pointing Guns At Your Family," focused on the increasing militarization of the IRS and its expansion of powers under the new health care law.

As if the IRS has never been threatened before (such as that guy who flew the plane into the IRS offuces). I noticed that once the guy was found to be an Obama nutjob, the story disappeared. This time, it’s going to be the Republicans’/Tea Partiers’ fault. What a steaming pile!

I run a small business and we got our marching orders and new tax mumbo-jumbo in the mail today. I cant believe my eyes. I still havent really taken it all in, but I now understand why the big boys hit the panic button.
Everyone is going to keep what they got...except for the ones that have to get axed because we cant afford them. And these are people we care about. I have been reading and re-reading and crunching the numbers. I think Cat is underestimating the impact. We dont stop this now and I mean RIGHT now, we are just screwed.
We need to win back the House and the Senate and just de-fund this mess. Until we can, we need to starve them of every tax penny we can. A conscious, concerted effort. Then we need to put TWO MILLION really pissed off AMERICANS on the street on Tax Day.
Can’t we get off our asses for ONE DAY to choke the town to a standstill and let them see what this is coming to? You just can’t tell me there are not that many pissed off people within DRIVING distance, for cripes sake.
It’s not like we have to drag cannon through waist deep snow in the dead of winter in New England. But it’s just as real a need.
We sell manufacturing equipment. Every once in a while i go to the phone and pick it up just to see if there is a dial tone. If we dont get back on track, I promise you, as someone who has been closely involved with selling equipment to small and large businesses alike for many, many years, we will lose our base entirely and it wont come back. We will be Europe, socialism and all.
I don’t blame the Gubmint boys for being scared. This is huge. And serious. No shit.
Oh sure. How many of us actually know an irs agent? Not bloddy likely.
Just wait until services are denied.
Especially to the spouses or children of someone who could pay but for the intermeddling and obstruction.
Blood will flow without doubt.
I know one. He is a hell of a nice guy and does not support any of this crap.
