Today is the "Birthday" of the wonderful Salvation Army, still doing it's amazing work 120 years later!
A good reminder that today might be a good day to donate to their awesome work.
Happy Palm Sunday, everyone!

Welcome to today’s American Minute thread.
William Federer continues his wonderful work.
The Salvation Army as a “parachurch” organization has probably done more to help all mankind than an other in the world!
Happy Birthday, Salvation Army!

I stopped giving to the United Way when I learned it dissed the little boy scouts because they did not want to provide a smorgasbord for homosexual scout leaders.I also learned how much the leaders of the United Way make..millions...and it MADE ME SICK to see how they live with their jets and mansions etc.
But when I see a Salvation Army volunteer ringing his or her bell, I always stop and give what I have available to drop into that big red pot.
This group does NOT TAKE huge sums for salaries at the top. When you give a dollar, you actually GIVE a dollar. I love them...out on the streets in horrific weather, gathering money for the needy for real.
