A 12-year-old girl is the third preteen arrested in the attack of a woman Friday night as part of what police called a vicious game.
Beating and stomping adults believed to be homeless was apparently a sport to a group of children between the ages of 9 and 15 at the Finnegan Playground at 69th Street and Grovers Avenue, according to Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives.
On March 13, Vincent Poppa, 73, suffered a heart attack during or shortly after being attacked near the playground, and remains at Methodist Hospital, where he recently was on a ventilator in the intensive care unit, Walker said.

Finally they're calling it "assault." The first two stories on this case were referring to catch and wreck as a "playground game" as though it were tag or dodgeball.

This park is in SW Philly. West Philly is also the home turf of every lefty’s favorite “so-called” victim of the justice system: Mumia Abu Jamal. Of course, one former resident made it out and now has a very successful acting career: Will Smith. North Philly is just as bad. Walter Williams grew up there, but managed to get out as quickly as he could.
I never hear anything good from Philly.
This is the same wonderful city that is having flash mob problems. The city of brotherly love.

They’re doing this because they’ve had the hell beat out of them all their lives for no reason. They have no parental influence; only abject hatred from the breeders who didn’t want them from the get-go. All the kids want is a reconing; total destruction for having been born, and they don’t care how many they take down with them. The end is near, and it ain’t necessarily 2012.
