This is an open letter to those who refused to go out and vote for a RINO on Election Day 2008. You have just given us ObamaCare, which (if it is not stopped) will bankrupt America.
The final House vote tally was 219-211. All of the Republicans in the House of Representatives ― all of them, every last one of them, including all of the RINOs ― voted against this bill. In the Senate, John McCain (another RINO you refused to support in droves) is one of ObamaCare's most vigorous opponents. And all of the Republicans in the Senate ― all of them, every last one of them, including all of the RINOs ― voted against this bill. This confirms what I've been saying all along: that ANY Republican is better than ANY Democrat.
If we had won just four more House races in 2008, the final vote would have been 215-215 and the bill would have failed, despite the last-minute stab in the back by Bart Stupak and eight other Blue Dog Democrats.
In 2008, the ten closest House races were decided by an average margin of only 680 votes. For example, in VA-5 Democrat Tom Perriello defeated Republican Rep. Virgil H. Goode Jr. by only 745 votes. This means that if 2,730 more Republican votes had been tallied in four of these districts in 2008, ObamaCare would have failed in 2010.
And if he had been elected president, John McCain never would have signed this bill.
I'm not saying that we should support RINOs in the primaries. Every effort should be made in the primaries to nominate genuine conservative candidates, with true conservative positions on the issues. But once the die is cast in the primaries, and we're stuck with a RINO nominee, we need to go out and get that RINO elected. We need to donate to his campaign, man phone banks for him, hand out yard signs and bumper stickers for him, and walk the precincts for him.
Because as we have just been reminded, in a way that's too loud and too painful to ignore, ANY Republican is better than ANY Democrat.
I will be supporting Mark Kirk for United States Senate here in Illinois for this reason.

Oh, after reading a few of your posts, I figured out you’re just mad because your supremacy isn’t being recognized by all. Thus, all who disagree with you must be arrogant because they couldn’t possibly be correct.
What "law"?
The Supreme Law of the Land says that no person shall be deprived of life without a fair trial. It says that the purpose of the Constitution is to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to Posterity."
Your party's leaders are overwhelmingly judicial supremacists and therefore pretend that a court opinion is law, and ignore their sworn oath to defend innocent human life.
For more than twenty-five years, your platform has insisted that the unborn child is a person, and therefore protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. How many of your leaders are acting as if that were true?
I'll tell you how many: almost none.
A platform that isn't followed is worse than useless. Why do I say worse? Because if it has nice words in it it lulls people to sleep, contented in the mistaken belief that their principles are being represented.

That’s one of the most deceptive pieces of legislation ever proposed.
It says that states can stop abortion, but not that they must.
You see, Ron Paul believes that states can ignore the clear requirements of the Fifth and the Fourteenth Amendments and allow abortion if they want to.

McCain only changed his spots on cooperating with the socialists after the tea party rose up and he saw his re-election on the skids.
There is no one who despises McCain like I do and have for a long time. Still, I voted for him against Obama because Obama is so radical. If the Republicans continue to put up socialist lite idiots like McCain, they are going to continue to lose elections.
McCain lost his own election. He refused to go after the communist for what he is and hit him hard. He likes to pretend he is at a ball rather than in a campaign - unless he is running against his real enemy - a conservative. Then he is a hate machine.
The GOP, aka the stupid party, is responsible for the Obama Presidency. If they put up McRomneycare for president, it gonna be close in defeating Obama in the next election.
Where is the federal law that bans murder? What are the federal penalties for murder? Last I knew, murder was only a federal crime if a federal employee was involved.
Murder is a crime left to the states.

I guess the founders were deceptive on the issue of murder as they largely left it up to the states. Same for rape, burglary, and most other criminal offenses. See: federalism.

You & I are tied for “who despises McCain the most.” I held my nose and pulled the lever as well. A McCain presidency would be nothing to rejoice over, but it was the only chance we had of slowing this speeding train.
We can fight like hell during the primaries. We can argue over which candidate is the true conservative and which is the RINO.
If we do not stand together when the next Presidential election rolls around, we will lose what precious freedoms we did not lose during this term.

The blame for the Dem's win in 2006 and Obama’s victory in 2008 belongs directly to GW Bush and the GOP Congress. Over a 12 year period, Republicans had the power and control to make a difference. While they started doing good in 1995, they finished on the losing end. Instead of advancing the conservative agenda and working to dismantle liberal policies, Republicans lead by Bush43 chose to promote a more moderate and liberal domestic policy agenda, and in the end, they paid the price for their weak leadership. At election time voters rejected Republicans.
In 2009 with the Dem's in control of both the Congress and the WH, they went for a maximum effort and the GOP was helpless to stop them.
If Americans ever choose to elect Republicans into the majority again and see fit to vote Obama out of office, the GOP better use their power to get America back on track. I hope Republicans are paying attention.

I certainly agree with you. We didn’t have a conservative to vote for. By the time the primaries got to Indiana, the field had been cleared.
