I honestly think that the preference for death over enslavement is what separates us from much of the world. How many of us would have gotten into the death cars to Ravensbruck? There are many stories that Americans prior to our involvement stood up to the Nazi’s tyranny. How many of us would have risked our lives and fought back against the brutal overseers of many plantations? Is it better to be enslaved and hope for a rescue?
I don’t think so. My heroes stuck it out on Masada. We threw of the shackles of English tyranny when it became onerous.
Now, we’re going to have to do so again. Caligula, just like his Luo ancestors sold their own race into slavery, is seeking to put chains around us. MAY IT NEVER BE!

Just reading your post from yesterday when you were describing the border town farmacia. We used to always go to Algodones, just across the border from Yuma and it was so plesant. Haven’t been there since Larry died in ‘03 and wonder if anyone knows conditions there now?
Wallace/Fox just said he thinks the bill will pass, because Dems would not schedule a vote unless they have at least 216. Vote is scheduled for this afternoon.
