In the April issue of GQ, the always candid Shia LaBeouf lets it be known that he's still bitter about the way the media handled his widely-publicized car crash in 2008. Although he was initially arrested in Los Angeles on a misdemeanor drunk driving charge, a couple of days later it was announced that Shia was not at fault in the accident, which left him with a severely injured left hand.
"I'd be watching the news, and they'd play my car crash, and every once in a while Kim Kardashian's sister [Khloe] would jump on TV and preach to me from the red carpet about how to live my [expletive] life," he shares. The reality star, who served 173 minutes in jail for a 2007 DUI charge, had these words of wisdom for Shia: "Just be smarter," she told Us Weekly at a red carpet event. "Think about your actions and get a driver. It's so much cheaper in the long run!

Who is this person and why should we care about any of this?
“In the April issue of GQ, the always candid Shia LaBeouf lets it be known that he’s still bitter about the way the media handled his widely-publicized car crash in 2008.”
Puts W’s DUI in Podunk Maine 40 years ago into perspective, for you, eh lefty?
He’s the guy who played the kid in the two Transformers movies. I’m surprised he hasn’t killed his parents for naming him that.
The kid who starred in the transformers movie.
I had to find a picture to remember who he was myself.
I think this is the person that controls our collective destiny in his hands.
“No, you ARE so money!” (name the movie)
LaBeouf was born in Los Angeles, California, the only child of Shayna (née Saide) and Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf. Shayna is a dancer and ballerina turned visual artist and clothing/jewelry designer; before she met LaBeouf's father, she ran a head shop in Brooklyn - according to LaBeouf, "Bob Dylan used to come in and smoke weed. All her furniture hung upside-down from the ceiling". LaBeouf's father is a Vietnam War veteran who "drifted" from job to job, working as a mime at a circus, a snow cone salesman, a rodeo clown, and a stand-up comedian, and touring with the Doobie Brothers as their opening act. LaBeouf's New York-born mother is Jewish and his father is a Cajun (once described by LaBeouf as a "Ragin' Cajun"). LaBeouf was raised in the Jewish religion and had a Bar Mitzvah, though he was also baptized. The name Shia is Hebrew for "gift from God" (שי-יה), and the surname LaBeouf is a corruption of "le buf", the French term for "the ox" or "the beef". LaBeouf has said that he comes from "five generations of performers" and was "acting when [he] came out of the womb." One of LaBeouf's great-grandmothers played piano in gangster Lucky Lucianos casino. LaBeouf's maternal grandfather, a Polish-born Holocaust survivor who shared his first name, was a comedian who worked in the Borscht Belt of the Catskill Mountains and sidelined as a barber for the Mafia. LaBeouf's alcoholic paternal grandfather was a Green Beret in the military and LaBeouf's paternal grandmother was a Beatnik poet and lesbian who associated with Allen Ginsberg.
His parents were the ones who lead him to be a child star on Disney Channel which lead to all his multi-millions from movies, driving the finest automobiles and most likely nailing supermodels. All for a guy whose about 120 pounds wet as a full grown man.
I’d say he should be kissing their butts every day.
Actually he is Jewish. Shia means “gift from God” in Hebrew.
The Jewish version of John, Juan, Sean, Ian, Ivan......
Hard not to fell bad for him in this count. Did she even finish high school?
Who forced you to click on the thread?
I don’t know much about him or his politics, but I thought he was great in The Greatest Game Ever Played.
It must be hard to take a true story and put it on film, and I thought he played Francis Ouimet like I would have imagined him (for the most part).
Where did you hear he was a muslim? His wiki page has him saying that he is a non-practicing JEw.
