Peter Graves was an elegant, classy man that conducted himself as a gentleman on and off of the screen. Both Peter Graves and James Arness were great family men and were good to people around them. No scandal sheets with Peter Graves or James Arness headlining them.

The original Mission Impossible show was one of the best TV shows ever
RIP Mr. Graves. Thank you for a great film career and being a good man. You were a rare one in Hollywood.
Yeah, but have you ever been in a Turkish Prison?
“Both Peter Graves and James Arness were great family men and were good to people around them.”
I suspect their Mother and Father were great parents.
One of the few Hollywood types to not be in trouble all the time. Straight family man. Married to the same woman for 60 years. In Hollywood, that’s remarkable.
I remember the original Mission Impossible. Now that was a good show. The movie versions were all special effects. Hollywood doesn’t know how to leave a classic alone.
I think I heard him doing a voiceover in a commercial recently. Will have to find out the name of the product and whether that was indeed him.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Graves. And may God comfort his family and all who loved him.
I believe this is a Hit in the Howie Carr Death Pool.
I will always think of Graves as “Fury’s Dad”, closely followed by Capt. Ouvre from Airplane.
A class act, he was. Sad to see so many people I grew up watching and appreciating cashing in their chips lately.
The way of the world, I guess.
So how come people like Harry Reid seem to be around forever?
...and don’t call me Shirley.
Amen to that!!!
That may have been an ad for reverse home mortgages — I was surprised that he was still with us.
RIP to Marshall Dillon’s bro...
RIP & condolences to his family & friends. Thanks for all the MST3k laughs.
“He learned too late that man was a feeling creature...”
....or like Gladiator movies? LOL.
This ends the Triumvirate
1. Merlin Olsen
2. Corry Haim
3. Peter Graves
Famous people dying in threes- or anything happening in threes- is more correctly defined as a trifecta.
We have clearance, Clarence.
Roger, Roger.
What’s our vector, Victor?
“I can’t tell.”
I liked “Fury”. It was my favorite show as a child.
Isn't James Arness still alive? RIP Mr. Graves. I loved watching Mission Impossible.
That was it — reverse mortgages.
Thanks.
