NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A set of gold teeth may cost the city of Nashville $95,000. In November, Anthony McCoy was arrested on suspicion of failure to pay child support. During booking, McCoy was ordered to remove the gold "grill" in his mouth.
When McCoy explained that the grill was permanently cemented to his teeth, a sheriff's department lieutenant reached into McCoy's mouth and broke it off, according to Metro Council resolution No. RS2010-1156. The damage to McCoy's teeth is estimated at $10,000.
The city will consider the resolution to settle McCoy's injury claim for $95,000 for the damage to his mouth and because the jail delayed medical attention. The man apparently asked to see a dentist and was given Tylenol until about 10 days after the incident.
Lieutenant Tanya Mayhew was demoted and given a five-day suspension.
Doesn’t work. Police don’t get called to 10%, maybe less, of DV events. Of those that do, they continue. Even reporting victims only report a percentage.
Here is the deal. I don’t want to work, to be taxed, for the bureaucracy to write reports, or jail, whacked out people, women and men, that lay down together, and will stay whacked out.

No kidding. I was arrested for drunk driving and I was a former painter. I don’t see the point if posting stories because a retired cop is arrested for the same thing.
As a foreman one of the biggest problems I had was with employee theft. It doesn’t mean all painters are theives but some are. (most of my painters were parolees BTW)

As my wife says all the time, that is the best example of medicare fraud.
I simply wish he would lump all of his 10 bad cop stories for the day into one post.
Same for the guy who does the good cop stories,,, and the guy who posts 10 stories everyday about self defense... And they poster who is obsessed with pit bull stoies in the news.
Maybe they could all combine into one thread; cops who shoot pit bulls in self defense.

The name Lt. Tanya Mayhem....er, Mayhew sounds like a cop-ette to me....and undoubtedly a protected species receiving only a demotion and 5-day suspension.
She should do a year of public service doing night cleaning in a 'hood dental office.

Yep...that's what the founding fathers had in mind: If you think someone didn't pay for their teeth lawfully...assume they didn't and rip them out of their mouth.
There are many on this board who value the bill of rights and the constitution...but sometimes it seems selective (again...not what the framers had in mind I'm guessing).
I’m a fan of all cops taking two years off, with pay. Then the scum can be free, me and mine can gun them down, in our places of work, bars, streets...maybe do a little proactive killing. And, then until the next wave of feral males get produced by the government( which is the case with WIC, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Section-8========= equals=== breeding coops for crime ) ....then everything will be fairly peaceful.
Just what is the other side to this article? Perhaps you could give the authoritarian explanation of when it is proper to rip someones teeth out of their mouth?
Shouldn’t bad cops be publicized? I would think it would act as an additional deterrent against bad behavior. What would you do? Sweep it under the rug?

Bad cops are a dime a dozen...they are everywhere, and will remain so until adequate standardized prerequisites are established...like minimum IQ for starters.
I like how certain posters take on pet projects. Willie Green used to be all about lay offs, now he’s onto high speed rail. TigerMeetsRooster does housing and economics. etc. I think it adds to the diversity of topics here.
The same standard should apply to FR. :-)
