I don't know what it is going to take to clean the elitists and the sexists out of our party.
But I have a pretty good litmus test.
Sarah Palin.
Odds are if you see a Republican trashing her or keeping their distance from her, they are really bad news.
We need to make sure every candidate in any upcoming primary is on the right side of this.
Those who dislike Sarah Palin tend to either support abortion, hate evangelicals or they have a problem with a female President. There are very few in betweens.
We have to clean the party out THIS YEAR. If we don't want to bring back the Republican party of 2005 and 2006.
Go check my 07/08 posts DUDE ;-)
By the way, you never answered my question. Why not? And tell me. If you believe Palin should be POTUS then you have enough faith in her that you feel no need to silence the opposition. You believe that she can stand on her own through good and bad press and you don’t have to use thug tactics to silence people.
That is what the left did with Obozo. A leader is a leader and they don’t need thug tactics to back themselves up. Hence, one of the many failures of Obama.
As far as I know, Palin hasn’t asked you or any of the other silencers to silence people. That falls on you.
First of all, McCain supports amnesty, which will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen. This is what is at stake.
We used this same rationalization when McCain got the nomination, i.e., he was the lesser of two evils. McCain is still evil and represents what is wrong with the GOP establishment.
McCain supports cap and trade, closing Gitmo, stopping enhanced interrogation techiniques, and limiting political free speech. He voted for TARP and against the Bush tax cuts, only one of two Rep senators to vote against it. He voted against drilling in ANWR and making English the official language of the US.
Reaching across the aisle This is media-speak for a Republican sell-out who conspires with the left. McCain doesnt reach across the aisle he leaps. Former Senator Rick Santorum discloses: The bottom line is that I served 12 years with him (McCain), 6 years in the United States Senate as a leader, one of the leaders of the Senate the number-3 leader who had the responsibility of trying to put together the conservative agenda, and at almost every turn on domestic policy, John McCain was not only against us, but leading the charge on the other side. Republican presidents who are unsure of themselves too often try to placate the other party. For McCain, working with the left is his natural inclination. Hell turn to the Kennedys, Feingolds and Liebermans not as a last resort, but as a first.
Though McCain denies it, columnist Robert Novak swears the frontrunner told him prior to confirmation of Justice Samuel Alito that the nominee was too conservative, and that he preferred those who didnt wear their conservatism on their sleeve (like Sandra Day OConnor and Anthony Kennedy?). McCain was also part of the Gang of 14 which prevented a rules change that would have stopped unconstitutional filibusters on judicial nominations.
McCain v. Hayworth is a bellwether race. It will be useful in measuring the degree of resolve we truly have toward the goal of returning to our constitution and founding principles. McCain must be defeated.
Good post.
A lot of folks believe that the candidate they support is better than Sarah for one reason or another; that’s their right. But they should be pointing out their candidate’s virtues, not bashing Sarah.
And I don’t consider comparing candidates’ credentials and policies bashing, so long as it done honestly and fairly.
Uh, the joke of this and your post is that we do not yet have declared candidates.
Get it? So we do not yet know who or what a candidate believes in. Not too hard, is it? In fact, we don’t even know if Palin is a candidate, do we?
So, the RAT and RINO propaganda about Palin being intellectually challenged is working, somewhat, so far. They tried it with Reagan and failed, with Bush (W) and failed. Maybe they'll succeed this time.
Crickets are chirping. At least have the guts to back up your position.
In this environment, don't you think the better tactic is to shout from the rooftops what Sarah DOES stand for?
You can win using negative tactics but you will never gain support. That's what this country needs is someone to support. America loves the underdog and what the MSM is doing is making Sarah the underdog. Just remind people how unfair the MSM is instead of attempting to silence people.
*chirp, chirp* Hello. you posted this. speak up.
Hello, Bueller? Anybody? If you had the guts to post this, back up you reason for posting it.
“McCain v. Hayworth is a bellwether race. It will be useful in measuring the degree of resolve we truly have toward the goal of returning to our constitution and founding principles. McCain must be defeated. “
Amen, Kabar!
LOL!
Apparently this poster is indisposed. Perhaps the Taco Bell awaited.
I am saying balderdash to this. What is your agenda?
Really? Would you support a candidate who railed against Hunter? No, you wouldn’t.
And Tancredo endorsed Romney, and Duncan Hunter endorsed Huckabee. Ron Paul? Well he supports nuts.
what the hell does that mean? Every GOPer has to be singing her praises?
Why don’t you ask the person who post it, piss?
I was just alerting you to the fact that we get constant posts here of this sort, castigating all who don’t see Palin as Numero Uno. We also had another inane vanity yesterday defending, yet again, Palin supporting McCain. So at least you should understand who is stoking the flame wars over Palin. It ain’t me, who would find her as an acceptable nominee.
