I’m calling horseshit.
So am I.
I drive a 1989 Dodge Ram 150 and it does what I tell it to do. The milege isn't the greatest but what the hell, I can afford the fuel bill for now.
As for Toyota this is a hit on them because they are not union. And I believe anyone who owns a Prius is far to stupid to vote. My humble opinion.
People are idiots, why don’t they just turn it off right away?
I can believe the fact that a Prius can’t be stopped by brakes if the acceleration is going because the electric motor has a lot more torque than a gasoline engine, but I can’t buy that so many people are this dumb.
I may be missing something, but I don’t think so.
It’ s awfully, awfully fishy that most of the news of the past few weeks is about “how bad Toyota” cars are. Day and night on CNN, for instance. Anyone not born yesterday has got to realize this an organized and planned attempt to bring down Toyota. The whole thing is just too pat.
“Im calling horseshit.”
Me too. I mean a Prius hitting 94 when he still had access to his brakes! Honestly though i’d imagine that at this point the overwhelming majority of claims in the trial lawyer’s paradise are from people hoping for a quick payday.
More media lies: How ABC News Brian Ross staged his Toyota death ride

Gawker | Brian Ross, Americas Wrongest Reporter, has been credited with owning the Toyota recall story, including one memorable report with Ross behind the wheel of an out-of-control car. He did it by splicing in staged footage to make it look scarier. [snip]
Good thing this happened on several miles of open road. That’s the spot I’d pick.
Thank God Ponch was able to make the stop!!!!
