Most stars will have been eagerly preparing their Oscars outfits over the last few weeks in anticipation of what is one of the biggest events on the showbiz calendar.
And there's no doubt that a select few celebrities will be debuting the latest 'work' they have had done, as well as their glamorous gowns, Jane Fonda being a perfect case in point.
Following her recent admission that she'd had cosmetic surgery, the 72-year-old actress was pictured leaving a star-studded pre-Oscars mansion party in Beverly Hills ahead of tonight's event.
With a darker, cropped hairdo to complete her look, Miss Fonda looked a world away from her previous incarnation - however, despite surgery to remove the bags from under her eyes, she still an uncommonly large amount of wrinkles around her eye area.
Just two weeks ago the star revealed that she had gone under the knife, despite having a lucrative six-figure contract to front a campaign on behalf of L'Oreal anti-ageing cream.
She said on her blog: 'I just had some work done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes, so I decided it would be a good idea to get a new haircut so people will think it's my new hair.

On the other hand maybe she could have her cheeks pierced and hang some real heavy ear rings there.

She said she had bags removed under her eyes. This is what happens when they suck out the bags, the skin just hangs.
I had a friend that had this done at the age of 40, she ended up looking 60 after they were done.
She ran back for a full eye job a couple months later.
No doubt there will be dancing in the streets that day...
Both of those photos have been heavily oversharpened in PhotoShop, selectively. There is no way for those harsh shadows to exist only around her eyes, they would be present elsewhere as well.
Rotten politics aside, she’s 72 and would still look good for her age if she were ten years younger.
No cosmetic surgery, no new outfit, no nothing can make this traitor bitch look better. I suggest for more realism a N Vietnamese Army uniform for her Oscar outfit.
Those are the stretch marks from her 72 year old sagging breasts that have migrated north from the face lifts.
