Most stars will have been eagerly preparing their Oscars outfits over the last few weeks in anticipation of what is one of the biggest events on the showbiz calendar.
And there's no doubt that a select few celebrities will be debuting the latest 'work' they have had done, as well as their glamorous gowns, Jane Fonda being a perfect case in point.
Following her recent admission that she'd had cosmetic surgery, the 72-year-old actress was pictured leaving a star-studded pre-Oscars mansion party in Beverly Hills ahead of tonight's event.
With a darker, cropped hairdo to complete her look, Miss Fonda looked a world away from her previous incarnation - however, despite surgery to remove the bags from under her eyes, she still an uncommonly large amount of wrinkles around her eye area.
Just two weeks ago the star revealed that she had gone under the knife, despite having a lucrative six-figure contract to front a campaign on behalf of L'Oreal anti-ageing cream.
She said on her blog: 'I just had some work done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes, so I decided it would be a good idea to get a new haircut so people will think it's my new hair.

Her hands probably match her heart. From what I know about her, in my opinion, both are ugly.

Not many people in this world that I really despise, but she is among them.
Those hands make me think she is more sloth than human. She reminds me of that horror movie “It’s Alive†from back in the 70’s.

Boy if she had surgery they did an awful job of it. Did no one tell Ms Fonda that dyeing your hair dark when you are older makes you look even older?

I can imagine the TV coverage of her funeral:
“There are so many mourners. They are lined up for miles...wait! What is he doing? Why doesn’t the cop stop...the cop is doing it too! Now others are rushing forward...OMG, they are all pissing on her grave!”
