It is time again to start making plans to attend the Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. Come join us to celebrate the memory this fine Texas gentlemen.
The 5th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot will be held June 12, 2010, starting at 10:00 a.m. Our range choice this year is Dietz Gun Range, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels. The cost per person will be $10.00 The Dietz Range is where TexasCowboy hosted one of his shoots in 2003.
This year the after party for the shoot will be held at the range. They have a large canopy with picnic benches underneath for us to hang out. The range does not have any items to cook food with, so we are asking that those who are able, to bring along a cooker. Everyone else please bring a side dish or appetizer. Adult beverages are allowed under the canopy (this does not need to be said but I am going to say in anyway they are not to be opened until all weapons have been cased).
cpdiii has agreed to be our host this year. He will bring, and cook, steaks and shrimp Creole for everyone. I am really looking forward to eating the Creole!
At this time no plans have been made for the Friday evening dinner or Saturday morning breakfast get together. Allegra & I have volunteered to make the sacrifice of a road trip to check out places to eat. One line of thought for dinner is to eat at a German restaurant.
Stay tuned for more info . . .

You will! Looking forward to it!
I hope you guys can make it this time, too! We have been
missin’ ya! :D
Hi,BB! Glad to see that post! Lookin’ forward to seeing you and everyone!
How many trips are ya making this year? ;)
But, God Willing and the creeks don't rise (or in this case the Guadalupe) , I'll be there.
German Food? In New Braunfels? Who'd a thunk it. :)
I'm sure Humble will be more interested in the German Beer.
Darn toot'n its in Texas. Just a mite north of San Antonio. (in Comal County, which is one of the counties just to the north of Bexar County, where San Antonio is located.
New Braunfels itself might be less expensive. They have LaQuinta, Red Roof, Days Inn, Lots of others.
Also check San Marcos, which is likely to be less expensive, 'cause it's "school town", and school will be out, and it's only about 20 miles up I-35. Whereas New Braunfels is a touristy kind of place, including the Schlitterbaun water park, and in mid June, the tourists will be IN. (Not as much as during October/November for Wurstfest though, but that's only a couple of weeks of massive pig out).
Sounds great!
We’ll see you there!
Ask about tannerite too!
If the range would let us set a few t-posts I think I could rig some moving “zombies”
he he he

The good news is my schedule checks out and that weekend is part of my week off:-)
The bad news is that Mrs alfa6 is having a knee replaced in the middle of May but the TCMS is about a month later so I should be able to make it for the weekend.
As long as the knee cooperates and it better :-)

Tannerite Junkie here:-)
Might need to bring some boards to set the tannerite on so it don’t blow big ol divots in the ground.

The more I think of a zombie ghoul-shoot, the more I like it. I know so many guys who would just have a blast doing that. Even designing and building the zombies would be cool.
A good one I rigged up was simple. I filled a pumpkin with cherry jello, then put it in the freezer until it was hard frozen. Nothing quite raises a WTF? out of people like a pumpkin that is oozing “blood”.
As many as are planned! The only trip I have planned right
now...besides the shoot...is to see my DIL and Piper in
March.
You know how I am...I will go whenever and wherever! :D
I think we can make that!
As is usual with me, I hope I can be there. I can’t promise anything right now.
That would be awesome!
