It is time again to start making plans to attend the Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. Come join us to celebrate the memory this fine Texas gentlemen.
The 5th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot will be held June 12, 2010, starting at 10:00 a.m. Our range choice this year is Dietz Gun Range, 421 Range Road, New Braunfels. The cost per person will be $10.00 The Dietz Range is where TexasCowboy hosted one of his shoots in 2003.
This year the after party for the shoot will be held at the range. They have a large canopy with picnic benches underneath for us to hang out. The range does not have any items to cook food with, so we are asking that those who are able, to bring along a cooker. Everyone else please bring a side dish or appetizer. Adult beverages are allowed under the canopy (this does not need to be said but I am going to say in anyway they are not to be opened until all weapons have been cased).
cpdiii has agreed to be our host this year. He will bring, and cook, steaks and shrimp Creole for everyone. I am really looking forward to eating the Creole!
At this time no plans have been made for the Friday evening dinner or Saturday morning breakfast get together. Allegra & I have volunteered to make the sacrifice of a road trip to check out places to eat. One line of thought for dinner is to eat at a German restaurant.
Stay tuned for more info . . .
Hope to see all of you there.
Proofreading is your friend!
Not a Cowboy Action Shoot by the looks of the ordnance there....
what state is it in??
Texas?? I mean one would assume...but.
Full auto allowed? I have a new belt fed I want to build and try out.
BTTT
I also want to know about full-auto at the range.
Mom, you can put me on the list for attending.
Yes - this is held in Texas. It is a get together of FReepers in memory of our dear FRiend TexasCowboy.
I will contact the range and ask if full auto is allowed.
Look forward to seeing you.
Got it. Should be able to make this one, baring disasters at work.
Please mark you calendar for me.

Bumping!
9 hour drive from where we are...it would be nice if we could make it this year. Close to San Antonio, is that the best place to stay if we can attend?
Keeping fingers crossed there are no work disasters.
It is close to San Antonio, but you can stay in New Braunfels.
The rate it’s been going, I’m keeping them crossed for work period!
BFLR ......Thxs Mom !!!
I wish some wit would throw a “Zombie Shoot and BBQ”.
Rig up some zombie scarecrow targets, which could even be moving and put on a track. They could even rig up speakers that could both play music and the occasional “braaaaiiinnnnssss!”
