Give a man a Fish and feed him for the Day. Teach him how to fish....

This was he verse running through our minds.

King Vanity and I used our newly aquired private shuttle bus to volenteer in our community.

Our City of Newport allowed us to shuttle Seafood/Wine fest folks via a 3 day taxi permit.

What a wonderful exp. King Vanity was able to work for two days as the co-pilot as we picked folks up/dropped them of as private door to door drops in he largest for non profit event for our community of the year.

So KV had the open door to go home at any moment during the two days he volenteered.

We had the best on board riders from all over and kind, sincere, tired otherwise.

No problems.

The oppertunity for KV to outside of his Prayer life as a Catholic on his home bound days and his social life as an attendee to events to serve his community (used to do more when young/not so med. fragile) was awesome.

The donations made for his giving free transport to clients paid for the gas/permit and he donated a portion to a private entity who volenteers privately. Has done so privately for years now.

What a sense of Purpost to give a Man a job for a few days.

He is beeming. Had great social interaction. Worked with his community. Donations were blessed as to spread the loaves and fishes.

And as we prepared for all this we started each new day/bus route out with time for Prayer intentions.

Thanks be to God that we were able to serve.

So we are going to sleep for a few days and rest up but we are both over joyed in the fact that we had the oppertunity and Grace from God to volenteer.

Thanks lastly to FR who gives me the read to sleep in between care shifts for KV.

As we are observing Lenten season our traditional way, no tv other than EWTN, it was nice to read about the Chili/Japan quakes and go to sleep (IOW no hype tv).

God bless all yall who dont comprehend how you in effect support our family in betweeen our busy society/Catholic apolegitics/be civil/be kind but know boundries...

Tired from the Oregon Coast but I will give out am awww u no hoo snuggled down with the Labs and doxie and KV on all his rejuventation vent/therapy machines so he can rest up and go out and do life all again next event....

Thinking of going to a Celtic huge event... Or just stay home and Pray the Rosary for a few days.

“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and he will stay out drunk on the boat all day.”

— just a joke to keep ya going :)

Seriously, you are doing great work. I wish I had your dedication!

God Bless you and keep you!

I had the pleasure of taking my boat into Newport Or a year ago. VERY pretty place. Had a great dinner too. I think it must be the crab capitol of the west coast as there were Thousands of crab pots in the outer water we had to dodge. Nice town.

So for our Coastie Freepers we are Looking into attending a Celtic event with the Nettles and others over in Corvallis.

We are waiting for word on accessiblity for KVs WC but hope to got to the one of two concerts/dances in Corvallis.

The Nettles will also be up in Portyland..to far for us to travel in a day.
