Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest joked about it during Tuesday night's "American Idol" broadcast, and rumors have been floating around the Internet for days, but now the news is official: The prickly reality-show judge is engaged.
Cowell is set to marry Mezhgan Hussainy, a makeup artist he's been dating for nearly a year, the future Mrs. Cowell told RadarOnline. The 36-year-old Afghanistan-born Hussainy had been spotted with a massive diamond on her finger following a Valentine's Day dinner, setting off a stream of speculation about whether the 50-year-old Cowell had finally decided to settle down.
Cowell was previously in a long-term relationship with entertainment correspondent Terri Seymour, who was attacked by an "Idol" fan last May after the show's season eight finale. At the time, Cowell and Seymour had already ended their relationship.
Cowell and Hussainy have reportedly known each other for years, having met on the set of "Idol." While not specifying when the two plan to marry, Radar suggested a wedding might take place soon.

It’s surprising that Aiken didn’t spontaneously combust immediately after that photo was taken. It’s clear that this is the closest he’s been to those since he was an infant.

After their first sexual encounter:
"I am afraid your performance was frankly embarrassing. It seemed to cliche` for me. I don't know who wanted it to end faster you or me. Honestly, you didn't even act like you deserved to be in this level of performance. You will need to step it up if you expect to make it through to the next round."
