Obviously there is more to this story than was written in this article—or at least I hope so. If I understand this correctly, any clown going to work or a party will be subject to arrest? What have I missed?

This big government nonsense is getting out of hand. If someone wants to walk down the street wearing a clown mask, that’s their Constitutional right to do so!

In most places disguising your identity is considered a minor offense. The fact that they ran upon seeing a cruiser is pretty solid indication they were up to something.

You haven’t missed anything. That was all. He is charged with being in public in a mask.

There are more and more public cameras, and more and more people with their own cameras, taking pictures of people in public.

A mask is the only way to keep your identity from the feds. Otherwise they can easily track your whereabouts with facial recognition software.

So the question is, do people have a fundamental right to move from place to place without revealing their whereabouts. I think they do.

And I think that right could well trump the fact that allowing people to walk around with masks would make us less safe.

They should make clowns get concealed facial permits.

We always put up a "no masks allowed" sign on the store window for halloween but that's not the same as wearing a clown face in broad daylight, on a public street.

That is no different than Mitt Romney's hair!

I'm sure the law allows for reasonable exceptions.

from the article:

"...an 18-year-old Tampa man was jailed Tuesday afternoon..."

I say an 18 year old is not a "man", unless he is in the military or the story is set pre-1950.
