Find the video you want. Then put “kiss” in front of “youtube” in the address at the top, and press enter. That will take you to a page that has an option to download it as a .FLV file. There are some freeware tools to convert from .FLV to .MP4 or .WMV.

There is a free download "FLV recorder".

Been using it for quite a while now and no problems.

I use the free SoThink video downloader for Firefox. It’s my number one recommendation.

I've tried several schemes and by far the best, if you are using Firefox, is the Firefox Video DownloadHelper. It works like a champ.

Careful of copyright issues. You could end up in hot water, especially if this presentation is intended for viewing outside your organization.

Wish I knew about this a few years ago, there were many creative music vids individuals did with songs and their imagery. But it looks like corporate greed in the name of copyright forced them to be deleted. The people were not making any money off the vids as far as I know either.

When the video is playing .. put ABC in front of ‘youtube’ in the address url and hit enter.

For instance, here is the address url for a Celine Dion video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYo39ezNzBE&feature=rec-rev-rn-1r-8-HM

Here is the same url with the aforementioned ABC: http://www.abcyoutube.com/watch?v=BYo39ezNzBE&feature=rec-rev-rn-1r-8-HM

Once you hit enter .. you will be sent to a page where you can download the video as FLV, MP4, MP3, 3GP and just about any other way that you want.

Also, you will need to convert the video to .wmv in order to embed it in a PPT, unless you leave the video on Youtube and just add a link to it in PPT. Search for Any Video Converter. It's a great, free program for converting videos to other formats.
