....The theory is, of course, ludicrous. But it's worth noting just to point out how absurd some of the Birthers' favorite sources really are. The man behind this twist is James David Manning, the pastor of ATLAH Worldwide Missionary Church in Harlem, which he founded. He's probably most known for having called Obama a "long legged mack daddy." That started the Birthers' love affair with him, and he's been a presence in the movement ever since -- it doesn't hurt that he's a black man who says racist things about Obama.
He was there for their big press conference in 2008, and he and members of his congregation were basically the only people who showed up for Orly Taitz's big protest against Fox News in November of last year.The video is below.
The whole thing is silly, but the best part may be that Manning's central assertion is that Obama worked as a CIAÂ liasion to the Taliban during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 1980's. The Taliban didn't exist until the 1990's, after the Soviets left....

I’m not going to give Salon a hit to read the rest of Koppelman’s piece, and I haven’t listened to Manning but I know enough about Obama to think that he’s not on our side.
More likely his mother was a CIA asset in Indonesia. I met her once at a party where just about everyone there was a rabidly right-wing colonialist type Dutch citizen ~ not sure why they’d let a Commie in that group.
I just wish the birthers would give it up. Even if they are right, nothing is going to come of it. ObaMAO will not be removed, and lot of time and money are wasted in the meantime.
Also, they are seen as “picking” on ObaMAO. The key is to have him voted out of office by opposing his policies and not be going after him personally even though it is deserved.

Barak Obama was born to a Kenyan National. That is according to Obama himself.
That simple fact - BY ITSELF - should cause Obama to reveal his bona-fides. To date, he has revealed nothing, except a forged Certification of Live Birth.
While I don’t subscribe to a great deal of what comes from the conspiracy theorists running around this question...I do have some serious concern about the large number of folks who spout that same tired line...”the birthers ought to just drop the whole thing because nothing is going to come of it, anyway.”
BULL PUCKEY! If we let this pass unchallenged, we are siding with the wrong headed notion that we can enforce only some of the Constitution.
Seems to me the folks shunning the birthers ought to be asking themselves what other parts of that august document they want to see un-enforced...
And, “political pragmatism” isn’t a solution...it’s an excuse.
It’s time to take back the country. A valid, certified BC is a good place to start.

It's truly insane. It's Farrakhan times two without any of the weird lyrical cadence. I like the Salon quote: “(If you can figure out how this fits into the movement's overarching theory about Obama being ineligible for the presidency by virtue of his birth, you're smarter than I.)”
He basically says Obama is a traitor for helping win the Afghanistan proxy war against Russia, an act apparently undertaken as an actual CIA employee and fully in concert with US policy at the time. He even calls it helpful, but still somehow treason (although everyone not hearing the funny voices in their head knows nothing like it ever happened).
He must reveal all this now because of the “growing, threatening circumstances” around his absurd trial. I guess laughter and mockery can be seen as threatening.
Break down that speech and try and put its pieces back together. It makes no sense and no point whatsoever.
