Are you serious about lyrics to the second movement of Concerto de Aranjuez? Never knew it and it’s tied with Page’s ‘White Summer’ as my favorite instrumental guitar pieces.

No. I usually get a howl or two. Then I have to get out the fishing pole, the glove with ropey things, and wear him out a little. He is cooped up in the room with me. Then to the cat tent where he can attack the wall, and he usually manages to fall off the bed in it. I tried squirting him with water but I think he views it as playing, too.

I got scared out of the root cellar a few weeks back by a waterbug. Big flying sucker. Time for that trip to end....Barack is a stray my sister saved. He was sneaking in the grocery store and stuff so his days of freedom were numbered. But, he ain’t had shots, and her other cats are wusses, so he stays in the room with me. Plus they don’t trust him since he jumped on the dog, and also on my mom’s minny Shitzoo, or whatever they’re called. Ah, well, I can’t blame you for, er, bugging out upon discovery of a bug. Stayed at a friends place in the Hague in Norfolk and discovered a MASSIVE bug thingie crawling up the wall...eeeewwww! You never saw two women high tail it out of a room and up the stairs so fast. Next morning we went armed with blunt instruments [stating ‘after you’ and ‘No, I insist, you first’] but it had gone on it’s merry way.
Now, I don’t want to ruin the start of a beautiful friendship, but don’tcha think that when Obama stated his dad was a Kenyan, it put a kink in his qualifications as a natural born citizen per the Constitution and as documented by Vattel and John Jay’s writings on the topic- [just to name a couple of supports for the ‘minds of the framers’]? Not that there is much to be done without leadership and media support, to say nothing of being branded as a kook and getting off track with the important stuff, like sovereignty and the rest of the Constitution.

No, I don’t think that O’s Kenyan daddy has anything to do with it at all. Natural born is NOT defined in Constitution and what Vattel or John Jay think is about as relevant as what I think. You really can’t take what two people said, one of them who isn’t even an American say, and base everything on that.
Apparently, there is some basis for O being an NBC. One of the presidents, Chester Arthur?, had an Irish pa. On top of all that, O won the election and has been sworn in.
Finally, if there was any real question as to whether O was qualified, Hillary would have been in court. Or one of her pals. That woman WANTED to be president real bad.

Have you ever seen the media so sickeningly gooey like they were for Obama? [That in and of itself, sent me hunting online. Smelt a bill of goods being hustled on the public.] Have a different slant on the Hillary thing. I think she wanted it real bad, but the sands had shifted behind her back. Bill tried pushing the Rev. Wright thing and I understand there were some hints about Obama’s background. With Chicago crowd, figure whatever Hillary had on Obama, they had a equally thick file on Bill and Hill. Mutually Assured Destruction?

I have seen the media close to being as gooey. Over Hillary. I mean those last minute pardons. The stolen silverware. The pandering to New York. And, worst, LYING to us all about the VRWC when she knew full well Bubba was screwing around. She could have kept quiet. She could have just stood by her man. But no. She chose to come out lying with the best of them.
Barack was pretty durn oily too. All the “First Black President” crap like that was the most important thing going on. Of course, I was so fed up with the GOP that I would have voted for him if I had voted, just to make a statement. So I am glad I stayed home.
Instead of being so hung up on him being black, it would have been better if somebody had really profiled his experience and personality. He is way too much of a compromiser sometimes and those kind of people make a lot more promises than they can ever fulfil.
A lot of WWII came about because England had Chamberlain, who came across as a totally decent person to the point of being a friggin’ wimp. Like he was going to inspire fear in the Nazis? Obama is coming across like that to me. Not enough guts to back up his own agenda. Of course, he wouldn’t have so much of an agenda if he hadn’t tried the Crap and Played thing on. Dude has his hands full with the economy.
So, nothing will get done. The GOP will probably get back in power and they will do nothing. And “nothing” will fix “nothing.”

Hey, I’m impressed! I thought I was the only one here who heard of Brooksley. I been jumping on Summers, Rubin, and Phil Gramm for a while, though.
Barack is crashed for the time being. Been linking youtube videos on the “Megan Fox is a Man” thread. I download tons of music videos off it. Need to get them on disks one of these days.
Oh, and re: Clinton, I loved the “Let’s audit our competition BEFORE they even file a tax return!” one. I hate to say it, but Hillary really has become one of the more sensible Democrats.

Wasn’t it Churchill who said the Americans, having exhausted all other possibilities will eventually come around to the right solution? IMO, we needed to be scared wee-wee less. That is what has finally gotten Tea Party types galvanised.
Think of it. Haven’t you had a growing unease over the past decade or so? That something was not well in the land of the brave, home of the free? Obama’s actions have been like an anvil on the head of the populace and strikes many as a clear and present danger.
Actually, in a perverse way, Obama may be just what the country needed. If McCain or Hillary continued the slow bleed, most ‘normal’ people would still be snoozing. We’d really end up swirling ‘round the bowl.
Just hope people aren’t too late... and they hold the line. Like France’s Maginot line, it’s worn and may not be as sturdy as we’d like.

nope, it’s that supreme court precedent minor v. happersett spells out that a natural born citizen is born in-country to 2 us citizen parents (even obama did too in sr511) and minor also says no statutory citizen can ever be a natural born citizen
