....The theory is, of course, ludicrous. But it's worth noting just to point out how absurd some of the Birthers' favorite sources really are. The man behind this twist is James David Manning, the pastor of ATLAH Worldwide Missionary Church in Harlem, which he founded. He's probably most known for having called Obama a "long legged mack daddy." That started the Birthers' love affair with him, and he's been a presence in the movement ever since -- it doesn't hurt that he's a black man who says racist things about Obama.
He was there for their big press conference in 2008, and he and members of his congregation were basically the only people who showed up for Orly Taitz's big protest against Fox News in November of last year.The video is below.
The whole thing is silly, but the best part may be that Manning's central assertion is that Obama worked as a CIAÂ liasion to the Taliban during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the 1980's. The Taliban didn't exist until the 1990's, after the Soviets left....

On May 14th, the Atlah Ministries in Harlem, New York will sponsor an event that can literally change history. Dr. James David Manning has proposed that “we the people” put Columbia University on trial for conspiring to defraud America.

Well my guess is that if Manning is sponsoring the "event" as much evidence as he wishes to present will be heard - by who and how many is the question.

I am curious. I could not find the GS grade or pay level for the job classification of a “Long Legged Mack Daddy.” How much do you figure Obama pulled down per year on that?

You do realize this isn't an actual trial in an actual courtroom. It's a theatrical show trial (probably held in the basement of Rev Manning's church) and it's doubtful anyone from Columbia U. even knows about it (much less Obama himself).
Reminds me of those various "war crimes" trials against Bush and Cheney that occurred on college campuses across the country during the last administration. Didn't really change anything but they were good for comic relief.

Manning plans to hold his trial on some steps at Columbia University during graduation. That's private property, isn't it? Do you think he'll be removed from the steps?

Those are just details. The important thing is that the CBC will have tried and convicted him and all will be well according to the gospel that is the birther narrative.
Yeah, after I posted my comment it occurred to me that the Rev. Manning probably doesn't have an actual church. I believe his "ministry" takes place pretty much on youtube.
It was humblegunner who did it. He deserves a prize!
