The word is that watching Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland is the closest you can come to falling down the rabbit hole yourself and into Lewis Carroll's fantasy world.
Those who have seen the film, or clips of it, say that it is utterly breathtaking, a hallucinatory alternate universe completely realised in every detail, from the sun streaming in through the gills of the mushrooms to the light falling on the individual fuzzy hairs on the caterpillar's back.

I liked the movie/I liked the book syndrom?

Depends. You can get Green Devil kits that supposedly have more wormwood than even some of the French brews. Lucid is supposedly ok, but doesn't have the
thujone content of Euro brands.
Considering it is still a matter of serious debate as to whether thujone does anything to you at all, it's more about hype than anything.
I just like strong liquors. I use 100 proof vodka to make my own Kahlua and 151 rum to make my own cordials. Seems like a logical progression as I also enjoy Ouzo and Akavavit. Black licorice, yum...

I hope you were joking. Johnny Depp has been in a relationship with French singer Vanessa Paradis since 1998.

Just a thought: Not that Johnny Depp isn’t an excellent choice as the Mad Hatter...but since they got Stephen Fry to voice the Cheshire Cat, it strikes me Hugh Laurie wouldn’t have been bad either.

I wasn’t “joking”. Since you know about Hollywood relationships, then you know I was referring to Burton’s wife HBC.

I like Tim Burton. I LOVE David Cronenburg. And Dali is my favorite painter.
And I never did drugs. LOL.

I have been tempted many times but I have not watched any of them, I intend to read the series at least once more before I die and I wanted to avoid what you describe.

Luckily we don’t have that problem. Unfortunately we have to wait a while as I’m on travel for the first part of March. Hopefully I’ll get to read about it here, but I imagine most freepers will probably say it’s bad.

I think most people are quite capable of knowing the difference between what they read, and what they saw. Maybe you should try harder.

I think most people are quite unaware of what shapes their world-view. Perhaps you should think about it a little.

OK, OK. If I knew how to post photos, I would. Just pretend I posted a photo of Rodin’s famous sculpture here, instead of just these words.
