When Trig Paxston Van Palin was born, his parents announced, "Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed."
At Team Sarah we believe that every child is indeed created with a purpose and little Trig Palin holds a special and very dear place in our heart.
For those in our society today who would stoop to the level of making fun of a toddler with special needs for cheap laughs and the almighty dollar, they have our pity. Anyone who resorts to comedy "material" of that magnitude is simply to be pitied, as they have forgone their own dignity in order to capture the sort of shock appeal that will pathetically sustain them with the small fraction of society that would find humor in such a thing.
Comedic hacks are nothing new to the entertainment industry. We can ignore them, we can change the channel, we can call them out when we think they've crossed the line.
For us, the bottom line is that Trig is off limits. Period.

Did you see the liberal attacks on Palin for having Trig when she knew beforehand he was a Downs Syndrome baby and could have aborted him? They felt it would have been better to abort him. Then they used the sexist crap that since she did decide to have him she should stay home and take care of him. Trig became a political target for liberals.
Yes, I do believe liberals by far feel abortion is okay at anytime. And they want taxpayers to fund them. And they do not want parents to know if their underage child has one. Two or three. Yes, I do believe Planned Parenthood was started to create a cleaner race. Cleaner race meaning less minorities, poor, disabled. How sad is that?
Yes, I do believe Obama with his abortion on demand, at any point of the pregnancy,late term, born breathing, is black genocide. And, yes I do believe that minorities are led to believe it is better to abort than to have the baby far more than caucasians. Proof were the clinics set up in California in poor minority areas with only midwives and nurses doing the abortions.
Do I believe a conservative would never have a abortion? No. I know they do. But anyone with any humanity at all would not attack a innocent baby like liberals have. He did nothing to them and he is a child of God.

The girl dating the family guy's son has Down Syndrome and says her mother was the former governor of Alaska. Furthermore, there is an entire song about dating a girl with Down Syndrome, with references to being a whore as well as other unseemly things.
But why don't you just watch them for yourself?
Mocking people who have disabilities or other health conditions isn't funny. These jerks will never malign the children of Democrats, but only the children of conservatives and Republicans. Everyone watching the show knows these jokes are making fun of Sarah's son, Trig.
Really? What TV show made fun of Chelsea? And what was the media response to such shows?
I remember the media quickly spun up and called it offlimits. And it pretty much was off limits for his entire presidency.
But for good time sake, how about you refresh my memory about all the right wing TV shows that blasted Chelsea.
i’ve seen the “making fun of Trig” clip, and it doesn’t make fun of Trig. I haven’t seen the other clip, and I don’t watch Family Guy, but people who do have described the entire show in this thread, and the description doesn’t match the rhetoric of “attacking Trig”. Unless Trig is a teenage female.
Just a few days after Sarah made a big thing of the use of the word “retard,” we have this cartoon’s response. And the girl with Down Syndrome has a mother who is a former Governor of Alaska. If you can’t see the connection, there is no point in continuing to explain it to you.
I know the connection. Family Guy wanted to get Palin to draw attention to their show, so they had their teenage girl say she was the daughter of the governor. It worked.
Too bad so many conservatives are willing to jump on the “attack on Trig” bandwagon, political correctness isn’t becoming no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on.

Definitely. I’m certain he was trying to make fun of Sarah Palin and her attacks on people for using the word “retard”.
I just dispute that he was trying to attack her son, or that the show was specifically an attack on her son.
