"24" Themed Countdown Clock (1 Minute)
Set in New York City, "Day Eight" unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations as President Allison Taylor (Jones), alongside new chief of staff ROB WEISS (Chris Diamantopoulos), negotiates international security with OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor), a determined Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. As the new day begins, an upgraded CTU operates under the command of M.B.A.-schooled, razor-sharp head honcho BRIAN HASTINGS (Mykelti Williamson), who supervises quirky CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub), expert data analyst DANA WALSH (Katee Sackhoff) and systems analyst ARLO GLASS (John Boyd).
COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.), an ex-Marine who wants to follow in Bauer's footsteps, leads field operations while Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) returns with an agenda of her own. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions.

Tony Bourdain = real deal.
He must be a lib but goes to a firing range in a foreign land every other season. That gives him some street cred for conservatives (and me)

Nah, Nina was killed in cold blood. She kept telling Jack that she had more information. He knew she didn’t. He waited for her to realize he was going to kill her and let her go for the gun.
He killed her for revenge, not for his personal safety. And it was a good thing.
To: retrokitten
Well, make no bones about it Madame President wants Pompadour safe and sound even if Manhattan gets blown to smithereens otherwise it would jeopardize the PEACE DEAL.

Well, I just think he’s hot and I like his snarky comments. Hubby gets sick of the hot Tony comments so I usually call my BF to dish while his show is on the TV. :)

Oh and Jack & Freckles (under Madam President's orders) were to escort Hassan and his family out of NYC.
Of course they were attacked--by American soliders (under the orders of Madam President's assistant and some other suit) to capture Hassan by any means necessary and deliver him to the terrorists so they wouldn't detonate their dirty bomb.
Secretary Canan (the warden from Shawshank Redemption) stumbled upon their plan and had a heart attack. The assistant gave him an aspirin. He'll be fine ... maybe.
Back to Jack & Freckles. The rest of the escort team is wiped out--including the valiant Agent O'Connor. May she rest in peace.
Jack, Freckles and the Hassan family retreat, throwing smoke grenades to conceal their escape. Jack and Freckles kill their share of the bad guys. President Pompador (armed with a handgun that Jack gave him: "Protect your family!") even shoots a bad guy. This one they keep alive. He spills everything--the secret plot, all of it. They can't shut him up.
Meanwhile, Baby Cleo's boyfriend is in charge of the dirty bomb (LOL), hidden in a FedEx truck somewhere in Manahattan. He just set the timer to 15 minutes. And is now listening to some easy listening folk rock on the radio :)
Next week: A supersized 2 hour episode! Ex-President Logan returns! And Man-Hands' cover is blown! Jack interrogates her. Man-Hands is a cucumber--as in cool as a ... "Tick-tock, Mr. Bauer". Will Ortiz still want to marry her? Most likely.
To: Miss Didi
Madam President is annoying. I fully support her fictional opponent in the next Imaginationland election.
