"24" Themed Countdown Clock (1 Minute)
Set in New York City, "Day Eight" unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations as President Allison Taylor (Jones), alongside new chief of staff ROB WEISS (Chris Diamantopoulos), negotiates international security with OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor), a determined Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. As the new day begins, an upgraded CTU operates under the command of M.B.A.-schooled, razor-sharp head honcho BRIAN HASTINGS (Mykelti Williamson), who supervises quirky CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub), expert data analyst DANA WALSH (Katee Sackhoff) and systems analyst ARLO GLASS (John Boyd).
COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.), an ex-Marine who wants to follow in Bauer's footsteps, leads field operations while Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) returns with an agenda of her own. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions.

Ah, I forgot the tunnel keeps going to the other side.
So they essentially forced her to stop at exactly the place they didn’t want her to stop.

On the other hand, I think they DID want to save her, since she was the daughter of the leader they were doing a peace deal with.
Which I guess explains taking her out of the bomb car, although in the real world it would have blown up as soon as she got out.
Unless the bomb was triggered by the phrase “It’s an EMP”, so they’d know it was at CTU.

just got in & missed 24. (was at Obama FReep in strongsville) and another “side trip” out that way afterward.

Some earlier season. Evil weapons company has to wipe out their computers before information is obtained, so they had a built-in EMP which took out several city blocks, allowing Jack to hole up in a gun shop. Closest thing to Heaven he’ll ever see. Season Four - McLennan Forster (employer to Harris Barnes/Habib Marwan). Paul Raines tortured, then shot as he protected Jack from point blank fire. CTU found Jack/Paul when the latter started a firefight, forcing terrorists to communicate. (just as Tony Almeida said they would)
P.S. Background from that scene - alternately the two boys' father was alive and in the scene - the same actor who later played Abu Fayed in Season 6.

...as she speeds off in a car in NYC where, of course, there is no traffic in sight. And it looks very much like Long Beach, or maybe it looks like DC, which last year on 24 looked like Long Beach. Or maybe it looks like Miami, which on Dexter looks exactly like Long Beach. Maybe every city looks exactly like Long Beach.
