We thought the same things back in the 60's and early 70's. (Isn't the world always going to hell when we think about it?)

Actually, yes the world is always going to hell. That seems to be the way it is designed. However the process ongoing STARTED in the 60’s and is apparently right on schedule so...what? What is your point? Ignore it? It’s not REAL, it’s just an effect? What?
Yes, we're always on the road to hell. You know you've arrived at the gates of hell when nobody heeds the call to hit the brakes by becoming moral and patriotic.
Yup. And every time things got better, or the current state of affairs because “normal,” we got out a shovel and started digging...
In the 1960’s and 1970s I biked around my neighborhood (in Boca Raton I even biked downtown...), walked to the pool, played in the woods, and took my allowance to the 7-11 for Icees and comic books. My wife lived in a similar fashion - but more so.
IN the 2000’s we can’t let our children out of our sight, except after dropping them off at school or at trusted neighbors’ homes.
Yeah. Things are just fine...
Yes, I thought the USA was going to hell in the 1980s. The difference between than and now, is that I now KNOW we are going to hell in a handbasket. We are RACING TO SOCIALISM.
