A family pet is safe thanks to a Samurai sword-wielding teen who rescued the dog from a mountain lion.
The teen actually fought off the big cat, ninja-style!

Fending off a mountain lion would be scary enough, but a mountain lion with a sword? Yikes!
To: JoeProBono
What this story didn't tell you.
Kid was out in fields playing with his dog. The dog went into some bushes, found the lion and started fighting with it. The the kid went home fetched the sword and went back to where the dog was fighting the lion still and yelled scaring the lion away.
Cal DFG has yet to determine if there was actually a lion in the area claimed.

I once held off an escaped angry doberman with my samaurai sword.
Kept it at his head level where he kept poking his nose on it.
Backed him up all the way to his own yard.
