In all my life I have never set foot in Chicago.

Guess you think I'm a commie or a goose-stepper. Lol. We can't all have the same opinion, wish Palinites would realize that. That would be goose-stepping, come to think of it.

I have been a conservative since the early ‘70s. I wish we had another Ronald Reagan, but none has surfaced yet. I am seriously ANTI-RINO.

So if you’re not impressed with Palin’s intellect you obviously “hate her”?

Is that the deal? Sounds very democrap to me.

This is the problem with Sarah.

Conservatives love her.

Democrats hate her.

Independents don’t respect her.

The Jewish vote can be represented by Barbara Walters. She doesn’t like Sarah Palin, but she was charmed to death by Scott Brown.

End of story.

I usually say that Elitist = Somebody winning an argument against a Palin supporter. Not in this case, as Savage is someone in dire need of Thorazine.

And at this point in her life, Palin would simply love to be the #2 person on a ticket.

Any dream ticket that has Palin as VP is insulting to her - and I agree with Savage here to some degree.

If Jews dislike Palin, it is because she is a Millenialist Christian.

Jews have little problem accepting Christians until Christians start fanatasizing about the Rapture and begin using Jews as pawns in that fantasy.

We’ll see where her poll numbers end up. I don’t see any real conservatives out there other than Palin who would make some big changes. We end up with the Romneys and McCains otherwise.

don’t like Sarah Palin because she is Christian

Interesting! If that's a benchmark for becoming president according to them, then I don't think their track record is that great. Unless I'm wrong, I can't think of a former president who was Jewish.

How do you know this?

Because I’ve been following politics since 1980. She is the biggest star in the Republican Party right now.

That does not mean that she will win the nomination in 2012, but if she loses, the nominee would be crazy to name her VP (because she would eclipse him) and she would be crazier to accept (because the VP is the most worthless position in politics).

Do you really think that Palin is traveling across the country so that she can get crowds pumped up for someone else?

See post 68 for the type of stuff I was hearing. I’m sure they were left wing types saying it for the most part, but still, it was out there. Palin should reach out to the Orthodox Community and conservative Jewish voters and if there is no response, write the Jewish vote off and move on. She looks like the person most likely to be President in 2012 to me right now.

he only qualification that she nhas is that the left dislikes her...

Utter horse crap. If that is all you have, then all you are doing is spouting the Left's dogma.

I agree. She is too easy a target for ridicule, and the MSM will play along. I see her as Energy Secretary.

I don’t think the Jewish vote was ever really in play for McCain. And if it was - yes - an outspoken, Rapture-believing Christian was probably going to hurt him with that group.

But considering she saved his bacon with the Christian Right, it was a small price to pay.

The Republicans just need to accept that if they want a candidate that is really going to fire up the Dobson wing of the party, they can probably count on a 30 percent share of the Jewish vote. It’s just the way the math lines up.

You’re prejudice is showing. What is the Jewish vote 3% of the country? And if 10% of the vote is in play . . . undecided . . . that’s .2%

Big deal.

How many harassment lawsuits did Reagan have to fend off as governor?

Another big difference is that it is entirely possible that Sarah is even further politically Right than Reagan was. I can't imagine Sarah signing legislation that would close the NFA registry (Hughes Amendment. FOPA 1986) like Reagan did...

Ridicule? You haven’t been paying attention the last 20 years... It won’t matter who the GOP fronts, they are going to face a sh*t storm.
