Michelle Obama is today launching a campaign to tackle childhood obesity in America – while admitting that she loves unhealthy food.
The First Lady has urged children to become more active, but confesses to eating burgers, fries, ice-cream and cake.
The Let’s Move initiative, outlined by President Barack Obama’s wife today, aims to teach youngsters how to increase their daily physical exercise.
It also pushes for schools to offer more healthy meals and calls on food companies to label nutritional information more accurately.
Some of her initiatives, such as tax breaks for grocery stores to move into poorly served communities, will require congressional action.
‘I would move heaven and earth to give my kids all the chance in the world for them to be at the top of their game in every way, shape and form,’ Mrs Obama said.
‘I love burgers and fries. And I love ice cream and cake. And so do most kids.’

I realize that the Dems reigned her in during the campaign after the press finally noticed the speech she gave almost half a dozen times proclaiming that she was so proud about her country --- they muzzled her after that, and I think that people don't realize that SHE is the person who knew Reverand Wright, long before she met BHO . . . and I presume that her political views may make HIS look fairly subdued and even conservative.
But, Americans are not allowed to know ANYTHING about Michelle, even though in the early months of the campaign she went all over the country campaign stumping for her husband.
I'm glad that she seems to have gotten rid of the fashion designers who were dressing her up to look like she belonged in a weird carnival.
I think it will be interesting to see a year from now if there is any new great interest in exercise & gardening & vegetables from her LET'S MOVE initiative.

Do you think she’s still off limits for criticism now that she’s telling Big Food how to run their business and in the long run telling us how to run ours?

Y,know, sometimes I wonder if people are incapable of understanding sarcasm or if they just don’t read at all. I got your post from ground zero, but apparently a lot of people didn’t.
