But what will the NFL do when all these guys are dead?

They weren't dead, yet?

Booking “The Who” for halftime was SO LAME!

Just like the Eastern Lib Media to dredge something up from the 60s where they still think the Magic lies.

This was without a doubt, the absolute WORST half-time show in the history of the Super Bowl. My wife is a fan of The Who, while I can take them or leave them. Either way, anyone with an apprecition of music would agree that their performance was horrible. I’ve read the excuses on this thread and none hold water. This was the SUPER BOWL and having an aging senior band that is hard on the eyes and ears is inexcuseable. Anyone who thinks they were “good” or “rocked” tonight doesn’t know the first thing about music and/or expectations were so low that they would have been impressed with a chimp playing a kazoo.

You are kidding right? These stiffs have been room temperature for who knows how long. The worst halftime show in history. No more geezer rock.

Nobody wants to hear today’s music unless it’s country.

The performance was poor to fair. Yes, they are old.

But I'd rather watch them then listen to the crap they call music that tops the current Billboard charts. Today's "artists" would be out there 'self-satisfying themselves' (if you know what I mean).

What is it with the NFL and over the hill rockers? C’mon, seriously!

My ten year old said “Who are those old guys and why are they on the Super Bowl.” All I could say was “They were old when I was a kid. I have no idea why.”

If they are going to have geriatric rock banks, I hope at least they get AC/DC. Brian Johnson can’t sing, but nobody cares.

Mostly because the new “songs” suck. Who wants to listen to repetitive chords, whiny voices, rap, etc? Contemporary music is awful.

They’ll start putting on 80s rock like Van Halen, Poison, Ratt and Guns N’ Roses.

I was embarrassed for the Who. They reminded me of a show that would be put on by the residents of an old age home during talent night. The winner getting an extra helping of apple sauce.

It was pathetic. I was at Woodstock. Tonight was just pathetic. We were trying to think of 60’s bands that could do a halftime show and not be pathetic, but they are few and far between. Cream did a great Albert Hall show, but that was 5 years ago. Johnny Winter is decrepit. Bon Scott is dead and Brian Robinson can’t sing worth a darn anymore. Steve Tyler is in rehab again.

Let’s move forward a decade or two. Maybe the Eagle are white bread enough and still good enough to do the job right. Disco and new wave were pathetic before they got old. Hip Hop is just not right for this venue. There are a whole lot of country acts that could do the job admirably. Daughtry could have done a good job if they wanted a rock band. Metallica? Green Day?

It’s time for the NFL to move on.

The sound engineer should have been dragged off the board immediately. Townsend was way too loud in the mix both on his guitar and mic. Somebody finally recognize it in the middle of WGFA!

That melody arrangement was horrid! It sounded like they put it together 5 minutes before halftime. Que the scream tape Roger at least you had that going for you!

Loved the drummer and his cymbals, but man was he holding back!
