I don’t care how much she got paid to speak to an audience that chose to spend their own money to hear her. I just don’t want to hear this BS that it’s going back to “the movement” that some FReepers are saying.
What is the deal with having to pay Palin $100,000 to speak? She should be paying the tea party.
How much do you think it cost to have her go there. Don’t you think security has to be paid for her? Is she supposed to stay at the Holiday Inn? This is why you think you are a “little person.” Because you don’t think. I don’t think she is looking to get filthy rich.

The next thing she's doing is meeting the Tea Party Express in Nevada, I believe. Harry Reid's home state, and Obama dissed Las Vegas. The mayor of Las Vegas wouldn't accept his apology for this second time! I'm looking forward to some good punchlines about that, and she'll pull in quite the crowd.
Would paying for her travel and other expenses be a good use of her earnings? Exactly what would please you?
My complaint is not with her, its with those who make bogus claims as to what she is doing with the money.

I will not benefit financially from speaking at this event. My only goal is to support the grassroots activists who are fighting for responsible, limited government — and our Constitution. In that spirit, any compensation for my appearance will go right back to the cause.Bunch of real idiots on this thread.

Something special is happening with the Tea Party Movement of today. Of course people will try to gain control of it because it is a very powerful source of energy. But the concern that it is “not controlled” and therefore “doomed” is unfounded. It needs not be nor should it be confined ... to a leader, to an organization or to a specific plan. Such activity would nullify the greatness of what it has become to date and could grow to in the future. One needn’t worry ... one only need to join the energy, shun people who attempt its control and allow plans to be spur of the moment. With a leader, there is a target, with an organization, a counter-organization, with a plan, a thwarting of the plan. But as pure ENERGY ... nothing can stop it. Think of it is energy ... join it, and be a part of this historical change-making effort.

I was an old NewsMaxer. The early FR was kinda tough to navigate with WebTV which was all I had at the time. When Buckhead set the screws to Rather, I decided to give FR another try. I guess JR had made some changes by then because I had no problems getting around the site.
This is not the only National Tea Party, this is just one of many, mid west and north and west, to follow.
Also, if you read the Politico story and check the names mentioned they all have history of not being happy. James Tomasik ran in 2008 on the Democrat ticket, even though he said he was a Conservative, because he doesn’t like Rep. Blackburn.
Sarah Palin gave back her fee to the cause. End of discussion.
Plus the tickets were $550 for the week. Go to a convention in the business world for $550 week.
